Severance Gins

Craft Artisans Series

Our founder’s first love, Gin, forms our initial offerings. Our Craft Artisans Series of Signature Gins spans from traditional to modern, with our classic well balanced juniper-citrus gin, our eye catching Butterfly Pea Blossom color changing gin, to our Barrel Rested gins with flavor profiles carefully matched with the barrel notes to produce myriad options for creative cocktails and enjoyment.

Our portfolio is categorized into core Essence gins, our Barrel-Rested gins, and our Authors Tryst Limited Reserve gin, with a new volume to our story released each year. In addition, we released a special Anniversary Gin to celebrate our One Year being a Maker!

Like any good story, this one involves spirits…

Once upon a time, an awkward, tall boy and a shy, short girl grew up together in a small New England town. After graduation, they went their separate ways. He pursued his love of the creative arts, in acting, bartending/mixology, and as a writer, in large metropolitan cities to tropical paradises. She pursued her love of science and engineering, traveling the globe developing and innovating in the biotech field. She published a children‘s book, while he published a Key West mystery series. Decades later, they reconnected through classmates and their mutual love of writing. A global pandemic meant that he took his mixology virtually. Watching his courses, she was intrigued by his passion for spirits, and she found herself translating her technical skills to the art of mixology and became fascinated by the core of any cocktail—the spirit. As an engineer, a natural inclination for the art of distillation led her to creating her favorite spirit, gin. A collaboration ensued between the scientist and the mixologist—resulting in a Limited Reserve gin of only one batch that captures the creative inspiration of the duo. Juniper, coriander, and bright citrus notes blend with warm spices and earthy roots that reflect the characters of the giving, optimistic young girl in her children’s book “The Light Within” and the gruff, jaded detective Tricky Dick in his Key West mystery series. And like all good stories, this gin leaves you anxiously waiting for Volume 2….
